Music Video Reflection
Evaluate: What are the good/strong parts of your music video? What is done well and why?
I think that the phasing between verses and each part is the best because most of it matches the lip singing.
Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project? What is not great and why?
The parts I could've done better on this video would be the steadiness of the camera because there were parts where the camera wasn't in perfect focus and sometimes it got too shaky.
Describe the attributes and theme/unity: What song did you select for your video? Why did you choose this song?
The song I chose for this video was Don't Wake Me Up by Chris Brown because it's one of my favorites (even after hearing it multiple times.....).
Describe the spacing used in your video: Typically how long is each segment of video? Why did you select it to be that length?
Most of mine are really short because I liked to change it to every verse and beat.
Describe the use of movement: How did you move the camera to create interesting angles or perspectives? How did the actors/subjects throughout the video to keep the viewer engages? How does the movement align with the music?
I did a lot of different angles and movements in mine because it makes it more interesting. In one scene, the camera is tilted for 'too much life in the city, you won't believe'. That represents the city life at times...how stressful it can be.
Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
I learned that Pillow Pets in multiple layers get realllllllllyyyyy hot.. (: I also learned that sleep is nice and needed to be awake during school hours (:
Exceeding:
1. I did what I did because it just happened that way. It wasn't really by chance or planned..it just happened. I didn't film anything in order either.
2. I really liked this project but there wasn't enough time. I stayed up late at night just to finish it. It was hard to get good takes for the video. It'd be nicer if the class was bigger also so people could work in groups.
