Billboard Reflection
_
Billboard Reflection (2-D): September 28, 2012.
1. Evaluate: What are the good / strong parts of your billboard? What is done well & why?
The strong parts would be the color that pops out because it grabs the attention.. The lasso-ing of the cigarette is also what was done well.
2. Evaluate: What do you think you could have done better on this project? What could have been better and why?
I could've taken more time to do my project because I only did one billboard that isn't that great. I've been doing more important things at home instead of working on this project. Honestly.
3. Describe: the attributes of your theme/unity: What is the theme about? What details did you show to reflect that theme?
The theme in the billboard is to quit smoking. The details that I used for it were the cigarette and the red font (to emphasize the 'side effects'/health risks of smoking.
4. Describe: the colors used in your design: What is your major color or color family? Why did you select that series of color for your composition?
A majority of the billboard is black and white but the text is in red. I chose the red for the font because I wanted it to stand out.
5. Describe the use of emphasis: What do you have that stands out in your design? Why did you use that for emphasis? How is it effective?
The text stands out the most because it's red. It's the more important part in the billboard.
6. Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future. What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
I learned how to use Photoshop to manipulate pictures. The theme of the billboard can be used to help in the future.
Exceeding:
7. Describe: the design process of your project (the steps): Why did you do it the way you did it? Was it planned? Was it by chance? Elaborate...
8. Is this a worthwhile project? What should Mr. Purdy do to this project in the future. Why?
